Demo, Race & Experience eMTB
THE BOOGALOO is a Class 1 eMTB event presented by Troy Lee Designs & Bosch eBike Systems with the first round being held at the Mammoth Mountain Bike Park as part of the Kamikaze Bike Games held on September 14 – 17, 2017. The race will be held Saturday September 16th, 2017 on a course specifically designed for eMTB racers. Expect near vertical ascents, killer drops, obstacles, berms, and more that will take you and your eMTB to the limits of what you thought possible on two wheels. Racers will be divided into qualifying heats, then a final heat. If racing isn’t in your blood, you have the opportunity to participate in a free demo on a Class 1 eMTB from as many as five different brand manufactures.
What is a Class 1 eMTB?
Class 1 eMTB is a specific classification for sustainable use on any trail, path or riding area. Class 1 eMTB models are defined as “a bicycle with fully operable pedals, and an electric motor under 750 Watts peak power that must be pedaled to activate the motor and that ceases to provide power above 20 mph.”
Specialized, Bulls Bikes, Haibike, and Raleigh Electric will all be on hand to provide their line-up of full-suspension Class 1 eMTB’s. Riders of all backgrounds and skill levels will get a chance to participate in a free demo ride around a custom built course (ages 16+).
Demo’s are available on a first come first serve basis. Each manufacture will have their own waivers and requirements for taking out a demo bike.
